New Blog – Concert Photography: Never Shout Never at the Showbox Market
Christofer Drew Ingle – known as the performer “Never Shout Never” (the band is “The Shout”) – came into town last week to a sold out(and lined up around the corner) throng of teeny bopping fans – yes, the average age was like, oh, 13? I was easily the oldest non parent there!
Was also the first go round with new 15mm 2.8 fisheye lens – so all in all a fun night!

New Blog! Monsters of Folk
http://photosbyelisa.com/2009/10/monsters-of-folk-rock-or-rather-sway-the-paramount.html
Bumbershoot – 3 days of music madness and more… Yes, it has taken me a month and a half to post a blog on the fest…I am slow………….lol. Highlights included special sessions via The End & KEXP, some crazy crowds at the State Farm stage, and some spectacular performances. Downside – yes, I cracked the lcd cover on my 5dmk2 – oops! But alas, it was, this labor day weekend – quite an experience. Possibly the biggest hightlight, non photographically – a fellow(and much younger) photog, thinking I was like 23-24! Bwahah! My creaky 37yo self, thinks I can push that botox appt out a few more years! (I kid – maybe;) Anywho – finally have a full set edited for my personal archive. Assignment photos have been posted on SoundSpike – if you haven’t checked them out, give a look – http://www.soundspike.com/photos/212-bumbershoot__day_1__in_seattle.html http://www.soundspike.com/photos/211-bumbershoot__day_2__in_seattle.html http://www.soundspike.com/photos/204-bumbershoot__day_3__in_seattle.html http://www.soundspike.com/news/article/636-the_whigs_news_in_pictures_bumbershoot_in_seattle.html Some of my fave images from the 3days… Train, rolled into Redmond, to a spectacular closing night at Marymoor(last show of the season at this gorgeous outdoor venue)…just miles from where Pat Monahan calls home, this night was just perfect…a final glorious night at the end of Seattle summer – the thousand of fans couldn’t have asked for more! On top of that – the energy, was just beyond…take a look… Gallery on Soundspike – http://www.soundspike.com/photos/235-train_in_seattle.html The 2010 Seattle stop of The Flaming Lips landed at the historic Paramount Theatre (see 2009 visit here) – all that spectacular chaos packed INSIDE of a theatre, you say? Yep – and the result – utter abandon… Photographically there were a lot of things that went right, and wrong for me this night…I won’t even go into the craziness that was the exposure…the oddness of seeing the hamster ball rolling around inside the Paramount…or the confetti lining my camera bag…because, I think, you can see the craziness – words can only barely give a hint of… To view the gallery on SoundSpike.com – see: http://www.soundspike.com/photos/259-the_flaming_lips_in_seattle.html
